OVERVIEW
Inspired by seeing a solar array in operation and excited about the incentives from the clean energy certificates, Deb and Todd decided it’s time they switched to solar power. They called a couple of solar contractors and ultimately picked IM Sustainable.

CHALLENGE
Maximize the customer’s benefit from the solar system under the utility provider’s net billing policy.
SOLUTION
Net billing policy allows the solar customer to generate electricity for personal use, and sell any excess energy to the utility company at wholesale or “avoided cost” prices, while purchasing power at retail rate. IM Sustainable installed a consumption meter so that the customer is able to monitor how much power the system is producing, how much of their self-produced power is being consumed, and how much of that power is being sent to the grid.
OUTCOME
Deb has since recommended IM Sustainable to several of her family and friends.
